The main concern of
the programs is to develop the skills required to confront the
challenges of a changing world. The successful managers of the
future should be able to cope with the complexities of change
and an economic environment which is best characterized by keen
competition. Thus contemporary business education does not only
include teaching the techniques of the profession, but aims at
developing a vision, flexibility and adaptability to new
situations.
The programs'
emphasis is on analytical methods and problem solving rather
than a mere description of existing practices. Participative
learning is emphasized through case analyses, term projects,
simulation and classroom discussions. Computer applications,
quantitative analysis and behavioral sciences are integrated
into the programs to provide for quantitative and qualitative
aspects of management with an emphasis on the former. The
graduates are equipped with knowledge, skills and analytical
thinking necessary to enhance the effectiveness and efficiency
of the enterprises that they will serve.
