Taylan Yalçın, a second year MBA student, was recruited heavily by several doctoral programs in the US, and he chose Harvard. Taylan received his BSc from the IE department at Bilkent. After completing his degree, he decided to pursue an academic career. However he wanted to switch from IE to Business. He opted for the Bilkent MBA program to decide which functional area of business. He was recruited by 11 universities, including high-ranking institutions like Duke, Columbia and Harvard. Taylan says "My education at Bilkent MBA program did not only provide me general business administration knowledge, but also helped me in clearing out my research interest, marketing. I will study on quantitative marketing at Harvard in the area of high technology products. After I complete my degree I want to continue my academic life in a respectable research university" Taylan was one of our best students and we believe he will be one of the best at Harvard. We wish him the best as he starts his academic career.
