Eser Arýsoy,
who is about to complete our PhD program in Finance, will join the IÉSEG School of Management in Lille as an
Assistant Professor in September 2007. Dr. Aslýhan Salih-Altay served as
Eser’s doctoral supervisor. We congratulate Eser for this excellent
placement and wish him well in his new job.
Eser says "As a junior academic, starting my career at
an institution like IÉSEG is very important for me. First of all, IÉSEG is a
member of "Conférence des Grandes Écoles" which guarantees that
the school has high standards in research and teaching in management. The
school has strong ties with the industry and is truly international in
terms of faculty and student composition. My decision
was shaped by the strong emphasis given to research at
IÉSEG. As well as being home to the only research center
in France that is accredited by CNRS (National Center
for Scientific Research), it is among top five in the
country in terms of research output. I will teach only
one course per semester during my first two years at
IÉSEG, which will leave me sufficient time to pursue my
research agenda. Overall, the school offers an excellent
environment for teaching and research, and I believe
there is a perfect fit between my career aspirations and
IÉSEG."
