Being the most important, world-wide congress in the area of aesthetic, plastic and reconstructive surgery, Berna Tari has succeeded to win the award with her co-author, Assoc. Prof. Reha Yavuzer, MD, from Gazi University, Aesthetic, Plastic and Reconstructive Surgery department.

After being introduced as the winner, Berna Tari made an oral presentation of their paper titled "Individual and Social Motivations of Plastic Surgery Patients in Turkey". This topic is a by-product of Berna Tari's dissertation supervised by Dr Ozlem Sandikci and co-supervised by Dr Ahmet Ekici.
